Recognize Your Worth

1 Corinthians 6:19-20- "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

You have been bought with a price. That price was the blood of sweet Jesus that He shed for you on the cross.  As Christians, we are no longer our own, but we become the humble home for God to live in and through us.  Let that sink in, you are the home of God Almighty if you have received Him into your life.  You are a light for God in the dark world.  Other people should see Christ in you.  God living in us, making us not our own is not scary or confining but liberating, exciting, and wonderful! We should be glorifying God with our body and our attitude.   It's all God's anyway! God doesn't set limitations for punishment or to take happiness away from us.  He frees us and wants us to enjoy life.  He gives us boundaries to help us enjoy life more and avoid major problems. I want to be a servant for Christ, I want to love Him so much that I can always just confidently and humbly answer with a yes when God speaks to me to do something. This is not an easy task. Not something I can say I do currently at all times. I want to be able to always trust Him with everything! God controls the universe, He loves the whole world, and He deserves our trust and respect. Being in love with Jesus is a joy! And oh how He longs to help us! Ask for God's help wherever you need it! When I read 1 Corinthians 6:20, I can't help but just feel encouraged and amazed when I read the words, "For ye are bought with a price:" I mean, that's a pretty big statement.  That shows the vastness of God's great, abundant love for His people.  Remember as you make choices, that you are a vessel that God is using to shed light on the world. Make choices that glorify God.  Make decisions that show off God to the world.  When you fail to make the right choice, ask for God's forgiveness and ask Him to help you in the situation.  He wants to help even when you make mistakes.  Also remember what you're worth.  You, my friend, are worth the blood of Jesus.  He shed it for you.  Don't ever feel down or discouraged or think that you, the you that God made is not good enough.  God made you, you because He wants to use your personality for a special purpose in His Kingdom.  You are bought with a price by the God who made the universe!
