Christmas started with a Gift

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love December and Christmas time.  It is probably my most favorite time of the year.  I want to remind you though that Christmas started with Jesus.  It didn't start with Santa Claus.  It did start with a Gift and that Gift was from God.  God sent Jesus, His only Son, into a world full of evil to save the people He created from doom.  That Gift was born into the world through a virgin lady that God handpicked to be the bearer of baby Jesus.  You see there would be NO Christmas without Christ.  You can't take Christ out of Christmas because when you do, you aren't celebrating Christmas anymore.  Christmas is Jesus' birthday and that's where it all began! Be aware and encouraged that this is a season to celebrate because of a Gift that God handed you over 2000 years ago.  He gave you His Son, so that one day, you could accept Jesus and ask Him to be your Savior so that when you die, you go to be with Jesus.  Aren't you glad Christmas started with a Baby in a manger that was 100% God and 100% human? Pretty cool, huh?! Well Jesus isn't a Baby anymore, He is standing at the right hand of God in Heaven and He is waiting for you to invite Him into your life if you haven't done so already and if you have, He is excited to use you as His child to fulfill His plan for your life.  So this Christmas when you celebrate, remember Who you are celebrating.  It's more than presents, food, parties, and fun, not that these things are wrong, but they can be when we don't realize who we are really celebrating.  It's a Miracle that happened many years ago that you are still celebrating! Praise the Lord!
