Can you feed 5000?

Maybe you have seen 5000 people fed before, and maybe you have even catered a meal to that many people, but I doubt you did it with just 5 small loaves of bread and 2 fish.  Jesus did feed 5000 men and then even more women and children with just 5 loaves and 2 fish - Matthew 14:14-21. If you read the miracle in the Bible where Jesus feeds the 5000, you will find that the Life Application Bible (King James version) explains the way God can use something small that we have.  Jesus used a little boy's lunch that consisted of 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed a multitude.  You may feel inadequate for a task, you may feel like you don't measure up to what you need to be for the Lord ( and let me tell you that you do not, none of us do, and that is why God sent Jesus to take our place on the cross.  He is perfect for us, not that we should not try to be like Jesus, but we will never measure up.)  God can use whatever you bring Him.  Bring Him everything that you have, offer your whole life to Him.  Let God choose how you will be used to glorify Him! You can glorify Him in the smallest things in your everyday life.  You can glorify Him with your phone...talk kindly to all whom you speak with ( I'm speaking to myself too!) Honor Him when you eat by thanking Him for your food.  The Life App Bible also expounds on the compassion Jesus had for the people.  He had compassion on these people not only because they were hungry for physical food, but also Jesus was concerned about their spiritual needs and hunger.  Jesus has compassion for you....no matter where you are in life.  You may think there is no compassion left for you, but I can tell you that God does have compassion for you.  He loves you even if you don't love Him.  He loves you so much that He sent His Son to pay for your punishment.  You must accept Him into your life and seek forgiveness in order to be able to live with God in Heaven one day! He loves you---will you allow His love to pay your debt?
If you are unsure of your eternal destination, please continue reading below.

1. Realize that God loves youJohn 3:16-"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
2. Realize that you are a sinner.  Sins are anything that you do that is wrong, examples are lying, lusting, being jealous, etc.
Romans 3:23- "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
3. Know that you are a lost sinner.  Realize that you need Jesus to get to Heaven.  Nothing you do is good enough.  Sin must be paid for, but Jesus paid the price for sin.
Romans 6:23- "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (You must accept that gift)
4. Believe that God sent Jesus, His Son, into the world, and believe that He died on a cross to take the punishment for your sins and then rose from the dead 3 days later.
Romans 5:8- "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Matthew 28:6-"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
5. Ask God to forgive you of your sins, and ask Him to enter into your life and save you.
Romans 10:9-10- "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Acts 2:21-"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
If you do that or have done that already, you are a child of God and you have begun your journey of following God's plan for your life.
