"For I Know the Plans I Think Toward You"

Have you ever wondered what you were meant to do? Maybe you haven't found that beautiful calling in your life yet...maybe you are wondering what God has in store for you.  God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He thinks thoughts of peace towards us.  He is not out to get us, and He has a special overall plan in mind for our lives.  You see, we as humans can only see the right now in life, but God can see the whole plan.  You are special to God and He has a plan for your life.  In verse 12 of Jeremiah 29, God says if we pray, He will listen.  We know in Psalm 66:18, that He listens as long as we have no unconfessed sin.  These verses fit together to explain prayer.  We are sinners all the time, but if you specifically know something you are doing in your life that is wrong, ask God to forgive you before you continue with your prayers.  God cares for you and He is so forgiving, all you have to do is ask. God hears us and goes on to say we can find Him when we search for Him with all our heart.  Have you ever felt so far off track or maybe just plain out discouraged to a point where you felt God was no where in sight?  He was right there...He never changes...but you do.  Search for God in those moments, seek forgiveness of any sins you know you have done, and know that God is with you in every moment of every day.  He has the master plan and it is perfect.  If you could see it, I'm sure you wouldn't want to change it.  God has a plan for you...are you following His path?  The first step in accomplishing the plan God has for you is to accept Him as Saviour.  If you haven't done that, you can't be living the life He has for you.  After salvation, surrender to His will, let His Spirit lead, and trust Him.

Accepting Christ as Saviour is the first step in following His path for your life.  By the way, His path and plan is much better than yours. I want to give the simple plan of accepting Christ in each devotional because it is really the most important thing you can do in your life if you haven't already done so.
1. Admit that you are a sinner.  Sins are anything that you do that is wrong, examples are lying, lusting, being jealous, etc.
2. Know that you are a lost sinner.  Realize that you need Jesus to get to Heaven.  Nothing you do is good enough.
3. Believe that God sent Jesus, His Son, into the world, and believe that He died on a cross to take the punishment for your sins and then rose from the dead 3 days later.
4. Ask God to forgive you of your sins, and ask Him to enter into your life and save you.

If you do that or have done that already, you are a child of God and you have begun your journey of following God's plan for your life.

Jeremiah 29:11-13- "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

Psalm 66:18-"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:"

Romans 10:9- "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
