Are you worn?

Hello! Hope you are all doing well this week!

I want to ask you if you ever feel worn?  I think if you responded to this question, your answer would be yes.  With so much going on in our world these days, it is so easy to become worn.  You get tired, weak, and eventually just worn.  Being physically worn can lead to becoming spiritually worn and vice versa- being spiritually worn can lead to becoming physically worn.  Either one of those scenarios is not a good place to be...God doesn't want us to feel worn, but let me also give you good news, HE helps those who are worn.  Being worn doesn't come from God, I think sometimes we allow the devil to make us believe that being a Christian can wear us out or make us worn.  Now I am not saying that you cannot become worn from trying to do the right thing in this wrong world or that professing Christianity is not going to cost you something in this world, but what I am saying is that Christ Himself does not make you worn.  You see He tells us that His burden is light and easy so if you are feeling worn and you think it is because of Christ...let me tell you, you are experiencing something that I think many experience but it is not from God.  God also tells us to know HE is GOD....not feel.  Our feelings will lead us down a wrong path, but your knowledge of who God is will help you when your feelings are telling you a lie.  I want to encourage each of you to do this, this week, talk to God about what you are feeling worn about.  Maybe you already do, and if you do or have already, leave the burden with God and go free! It is possible...hard, but possible.  I encourage you to remember who you serve this week...the almighty, all-powerful King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

Maybe you cannot lay your burden down and go free because you have never accepted Christ as your personal Savior.  Here are 5 simple steps that if you follow will lead you to an eternal home with Jesus instead of eternal damnation in hell.

1. Realize that God loves you
John 3:16-"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
2. Realize that you are a sinner.  Sins are anything that you do that is wrong, examples are lying, lusting, being jealous, etc.
Romans 3:23- "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"3. Know that you are a lost sinner.  Realize that you need Jesus to get to Heaven.  Nothing you do is good enough.  Sin must be paid for, but Jesus paid the price for sin.
Romans 6:23- "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (You must accept that gift)
4. Believe that God sent Jesus, His Son, into the world, and believe that He died on a cross to take the punishment for your sins and then rose from the dead 3 days later.
Romans 5:8- "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Matthew 28:6-"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."5. Ask God to forgive you of your sins, and ask Him to enter into your life and save you.
Romans 10:9-10- "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Acts 2:21-"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
If you do that or have done that already, you are a child of God and you have begun your journey of following God's plan for your life.

Matthew 28:11-30- "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Psalm 46:10-"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
