Easter is approaching!
Hello all!!
Hope you are enjoying these first few days of spring! Spring is one of the most beautiful and refreshing times of the year, and God wants to start something new in your life! Whether it is becoming God's child, by accepting His free gift of salvation, if you have not done that, or maybe it is starting something new or refreshing something old in your life. How open are you to God's divine plan for your life?
God is good and He sent Jesus to be our Saviour. Easter is one of those holidays that is so special...because we as Christians have a reason to celebrate! It is not about eggs or Easter bunnies....it is about Jesus dying and rising again to be your Saviour. We all need Jesus...and He died for all! This week, I encourage you to remember the reason for Easter. As you spend time in God's Word, take a break from where you are currently reading and read a little part of the Easter story each day! Remind yourself of the glorious, finished work on the cross that Christ paid for you. Take something that is part of your day and sacrifice it this week to help you remember what Jesus did for you....maybe you could give up facebook for this one week or give up chocolate and desserts for one week or give up something for this one week that you normally do to use that time to remember what Jesus did for you. Make this week a special one...one that you can think often of your Saviour who died to set you free. Look forward to Easter because of the real reason we celebrate....Jesus's resurrection from the dead to save your soul and give you eternal life in Heaven. Sometimes we get too distracted by the worldly reasons to celebrate Easter...the spring weather, the egg hunt, the bunny, or maybe it is even wearing white shoes again for the ladies...I'm not saying that it is wrong to look forward to those things, but please remember the true reason we celebrate. We would not even have Easter if it had not been for Christ!
Maybe you don't know if you are a child of Jesus....here are the simple steps in finding eternal security forever.
1. Admit that you have done wrong (sinned) and that you need a Saviour.
2. Believe that Jesus died and rose for you
3. Ask the Lord to be your Saviour
That is it! :) God made it so simple for us!
I am adding the plan of salvation to each blog entry because I feel it is the most important thing someone could ever do during life.
Romans 10:12- "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him."
-God saves all people....no matter who you are!
Matthew 28:5-6- "And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
