What are you striving for?

Hope you are enjoying a blessed day! I wanted to share with you something that is important to remember. If you are striving to please God, you can never reach perfection. God sent His Son, Jesus, to fill the gap between us and Himself. We are never perfect, and we cannot reach Heaven through being good enough. Therefore God sent Jesus, in love, to give us freedom and liberty from sin. If you have accepted God's gift of salvation, then Jesus has filled that gap between you and God. What a remarkable truth to remember! Sometimes I think we get discouraged because we feel like there is so much in our life that we need to change or work on. Ultimately, you should never lose this feeling because we can never reach perfection. It is a good thing to realize your need to do better at something or realize you need to change to be more like Christ. God wants us to be conscious of things in our life that need to be changed. Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed at the amount of things that need to change, but look at it as a blessing that you realized your need to be different and begin working on changing. We are always a work in progress, never finished until we reach Heaven, if we are saved. So allow God to show you areas you need work in, and begin working on them! It may not be something you can change overnight, but with God's help and power you can become more of the person He wants you to be, just by opening up to change. Let God change your life and pray to be more like Him!
Romans 6:13- "Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God."
Colossians 3:4 - "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory"
